my never-a-jw dad told me today that mongrel jws who turn on me were never truly my friends and i'm better off without them, so why worry if i get disfellowshiped?.

i fear being disfellowshiped because my name will be dragged through the mud.

i also think it might be a good idea to da or get dfd because then the link is broken and the fade is over.

And just in case it hasn't been pointed out THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DA OR DF'd?!? The punishment and repercussions for both is the exact same thing!

Stop giving these assholes authority over you playing by their F'd up rules.

I started to tell you this before they came in your 1st post but I was trying to be nice. No time for niceties so I tell you what I tell EVERYONE to say when they are faced with this situation...Tell em to Kiss yo black ass!!!

Four words nice and to the point. Anything else you are playing into their hands and justifying their AUTHORITY over you. Take control of your life be the guiding force in your life and if they try to subject you to their bullshit trumped up rules you tell-em to KISS YO BLACK ASS!

Reports from JW's regarding the summer convention

so, we're in the final countdown with the convention just over a month away.

i've talked to a few folks that have already attended it on the east coast and west coast and keep hearing that its the most up-building program they've ever been to.

seems the message is clear that we need to stop being so hard on ourselves and take time to appreciate the efforts we have put in and know that we are deeply loved.

Hmm...My SIL reported that the society really hit them hard on what they need to be doing?!? Of course she probably slept thru most of it.

Also she said she asked a CO why they changed to DO at ASS-EMBLY halls and he told her it wasn't money cause it cost more to have them at assembly halls?!?

Unnecessary bad language

i've noticed a few posts where bad language is used when it is completely unecessary and detracts from the message.. please consider what your choice of words will have on other people who read the forum before you post them, especially for regular posts that are not in the adult section.. there is a time and place for anger and expletives but most regular topics are 'not it'..
